The holiday season is entering its full swing and this is when it is hard to keep up with normal day to day routines.
Healthy eating and physical activity lead to a healthy mind. Mental illness and weight gain and/or the loss of sex drive often lead to medication non-compliance.
How does one keep these in perspective in order to remain compliant? Eating at home and basic exercise will help mitigate some of the bad side effects of the medication. The desire to eat may or may not come from the meds but you have to control your intake.
The medication is to help stabilize your mental well being. Once you have lost as much weight as you can with diet and exercise try to accept the new you because in the end your mental health is the most important goal to maintain.
One must either accept the weight and adapt a new mind set were you learn to feel good, healthy, and/or sexy about yourself. Always work in conjunction with your MD when making decisions about diet and exercise.

You can purchase apps that help with weight loss and a pedometer can sync with these apps and they will let you know how much more you can eat. The desire to be successful comes from you.
